Altar Servers

In the Eastern Orthodox Church, altar servers assist the higher clergy during services. They might carry the cross, candles or liturgical fans in processions and entrances.

This ministry is mainly reserved for our boys in grades 3-12. It's a ministry that only males may participate in due to the understanding that the Priesthood may only be assumed by a man since Christ is our Great High Priest and the model which every Priest strives to imitate in his ministry.
